The EVAP plus plate-type evaporator is a fully welded heat exchanger without any gaskets. Those areas of sugar factories where such evaporators are used see a substantial improvement of productivity and capacity.
The complete plate pack consists of pressed, roller seam-welded stainless steel plates forming two separate flow chambers, i.e. one tube-shaped and one wave-shaped channel.
 EVAP plus – In use worldwide The low weight and reduced space requirements of GEA Ecoflex plate-type falling-film evaporators open up new possibilities for plant designers and operating companies. Their competitive advantages include not only their higher K values and smaller temperature differences, but also their possible retrofitting into an existing Robert evaporator.
