Juice - Brix content OL-2000 Beverage Standardizer:
Closed Loop Feedback - The system continually measures the downstream percentage of brix in the finished product and closes the loop by instantaneously relaying the information back to the controller. Immediate control action maintains the desired brix percentage.
Start Up Compensation - Enables the OL-2000 to compensate for start up events such as ingredient line fills, flushes and changeovers. The fill and flush volumes are compensated for in the final mix, eliminating product losses.
Least Cost Brix Modification - Using standardization, the drink concentrate (more expensive ingredient) is never used to correct brix. The HFCS (less expensive ingredient) is used to elevate brix if necessary. The final percent concentrate is maintained, irrespective of any addition of water or HFCS.
Pause Control - This loss control system prevents "out of spec" product from going down the line to the filler. If there is an interruption to ingredient supply, or a downstream bottling problem caused a backup to the balance tank, the system will pause and alarm.
Calibration and Quality Control - The refractometer can be calibrated quickly using a known laboratory sample. Finished product can be checked by refractive index at the instrument calibration port.
The operator selects the type of juice/beverage to be made from a menu of recipes. The recipe specifies the ingredients and % brix.
A 60-second pre-start is tailored to your plant for priming ingredient pumps and lines.
Operator puts the system in automatic standardization.
The control blend equations calculate the flow rate for each ingredient based on the product recipe and the current silo or truck brix. Ingredient and total flow rates are monitored with magnetic flow meters, while the final product brix is measured by the refractometer.
